Does anyone have a recommended investor friendly credit union or bank in mid Michigan?

Looking for conventional with at least 70 LTV based on arv

Also any recommendations on a portfolio lender with good terms on short arm loans?

@Troy Bailey no but I grew up around flint before it had declined and have been in mid Michigan since. There's probably opportunity but I am not sure on specifics

Huh? Flint was great until it wasn't. The middle class was created in Flint. Now it's decayed remnants of times passed. Though downtown seems to be swinging the right direction.

@Arianne L. Would you be willing to offer an introduction to your det friends? I'm looking for low key encouraging conversation with like minded people

It seems like there's a lot of gurus and seminars but I always feel like I'm being pushed into someone's funnel

@Michael P. I don't think you can rent out your room if he bought with a fha loan

@Arianne L. Nice story, I am accumulating capital for first deal aiming at multifamily while reading everything I can and it's difficult because the people who usually support me think I'm going to fail. They aren't hostile but dismissive and it gives me pause. Surrounding yourself with the right people seems so key.

Congrats again, I have a soft spot for slps, work in hospital therapy Dept and our slp is a dysphagia rockstar lol

As a cash investor, some property can be bought in which the banks wouldn't otherwise have approved a loan for.

If these properties are bought up and rehabbed is there a way to guarantee a bank will be able to cashout refi?

Are early loan denials usually linked to specific features like roof, flooring and bathroom versus overall property quality and bank risk aversion?
