Welcome to BP.  There is a ton of info here.  But as you know there is nothing more important than local knowledge.  Try to take this info and your own personal observations.  You need both to fully understand what is going on.  If you are interested in Multis in Worcester or South let me know and we can get together and i can share some insights.

Good luck out there.  Make sure you meet some of the folks here so you feel you have someone to talk to and bounce ideas off of.  There are lots of deals out there, the issue is finding them and evaluating what is best for you.  If you venture to Worcester give me a shout.  The key is knowing the local area, so make sure you find people who really know Lowell.

Worcester is a hot market now.  If you are able to get something in a good solid commuting area you should do well.  Let me know if you want to meet up in Worcester.

my thought is to let people know what the final product is, and sell it before you are done.  This will allow the buyer to work on their financing  and save you the 6 weeks you need after you agree to a price.  Let some agents like myself shop it for you off market so you can sell it and save yourself the 6 wks of carrying cost

@David Arcella I would be glad to chat. I know a bunch of property managers in Worcester I could put you in touch with or simply give you a feeling for how the process works in Worcester for my multi family buyers and their experiences
