I don’t think this matters as much for couples. It’s likely bigger than a hotel room.
Do the enemy method. See if the 1:1 gives you the returns you want.
Personally after driving to a vacation spot, I want to be close to the action and spend as little time in the car as possible

I think as long as it still has a mountain feel to if, you’ll be fine.
We are seeing a wave of new construction that are more “modern.” Overall, guests come here for a mountain experience so don’t forget that too much in your design
