I've noticed things still seem in a holding pattern. The lenders I've used are placed on a pause. A couple have said they're looking to open things back up around mid-June but I'm not sure that the terms will be the same.

@Account Closed I would recommend just finding the financing the requires the minimum down for this purchase. I did a house hack in the past and went with a conventional loan that only required 3% down (this is tough to find though). An FHA loan would likely work well. Your monthly payments will be pretty high but with 3 other tenants paying you can likely cash flow or be paying very little and live for almost nothing. Some lenders are hesitant on lending to small multis (not sure why) and seem to want to require a commercial loan as well - just something to watch out for. I'd keep calling around and search for the best product. Goodluck!

@David New no problem! The vinyl definitely helps keep it tenant proof and should last for multiple tenants!

@Devin Dang congrats on taking extra steps in your RE journey. It sounds like you're on a good track with knowledge and drive. Definitely learn as much as you can about your first market but don't let it lead to analysis paralysis. Good luck!
