Maybe I’m missing something but what is the benefit they are supposed to be bringing to you?

I think they're boasting that they do everything that airbnb and vrbo do but with other features like a website builder and some other stuff.  Needless to say, I just had a zoom meeting with them, and I don't think it's for me right now.

Hey @Cody Christopher, I have never used them, but would you list at the same nightly rate as on VRBO and AirBNB to maintain your margins? If so, what keeps people on Futurestay as it will always be 5% more than the main sites for your place.

You know, I'm not sure.  I just had a zoom meeting with them, and I'm still confused.  I don't think it's for me.

I have one short term rental in American Fork, Utah.  I'm trying to get more bookings and came across Futurestay.  They bump your price 5% (on their platform) then take that 5%.  That's how they charge.  So it doesn't seem like anything extra out of my pocket.  Thoughts?  Anyone using or have used them.

Thanks,

Cody

If you can’t find any professional services, I know a couple of local people who would likely be interested.

Ok, thanks.  I'll let you know.

The company we use to clean our STR in American Fork, UT got sold and they are discontinuing their STR department. Its 8/3 now and our last cleaning is scheduled for 8/8. Anyone have any suggestions on good STR cleaners in my area?

Thanks

Cody

My wife are wanting to STR our townhome in American Fork, UT. Was wondering how the market is there. Do places stay booked up? When is the "season" for STR's? Perhaps some recommendations on cleaners that specialize in STR's.

Thank you!

Investment Info:

Townhouse buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $531,000
Cash invested: $600,000

As of 2/27/22 this townhome is still being built, so we haven't rented it out obviously. However we close in early May, were buying it out right. Going to take the summer and vacation in the townhome while stocking it up and hopefully start to rent it in August.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

We love vacationing in here, we also have family. It seems like a hot spot to short term, and if ST doesn't work out then we can just long term it.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

We found a different property on Zillow and contacted the agent that was showing it. Really like him so he showed us some others including this one.

How did you finance this deal?

Cash, no mortgage.

How did you add value to the deal?

I dont understand this question but Im sure once I do it will benefit me. :)

Lessons learned? Challenges?
