Welcome to BP @Account Closed! If your interested in meeting Huntsville investors I recommend going to MCREIA, it's $20 a meeting or $195 for a year. The ultimate beginners guide is good place to start and the book on flipping houses is good for learning to estimate rehab costs. I also recommend listening to the podcasts, probably one of the easiest ways to learn. Welcome and hopefully I'll see you around town.

Welcome to the BP community @Michael Scheerer! I liked your analogy of real estate being a four-legged stool. It sounds like your next steps are creating a marketing machine. If your interested in direct mail here is an article by Brandon Turner on how to create a letter at home. From the sounds of your experience you're well on your way to a successful career in REI. Good luck and never stop learning.

Welcome to BP @Brad Kelly! If you haven't read it already the Ultimate Beginner's Guide is a good book, also the webinars and YouTube channel. Something you may want to look into for your first property is a duplex. That way you can live in one side and rent the other. Good luck.

@Marquell Jones I would check out AIA and network with the people at that. The best way to find a mentor is network with people, figure out a way that you can add value to there business. When you find someone that is doing what you want to do offer to buy them coffee/lunch.

Welcome to BP @Jessica Duckett! Like @Allen Chaney said talk to a CPA before forming an LLC. Mine told me I didn't need to form one until I started flipping houses. I'm interested in learning more about your SFH in Huntsville. If you won't mind PM me more info.

Welcome to BP @Sack Thammavongsa! I'm a new investor as well that lives in the Madison area. If you haven't been already MCREIA is a local real estate investors group that is good for meeting locals.

Welcome to BP @Anthony Sullivan. Like @Dmitriy Fomichenko recommended the BP beginners guide is a good place to start. It will help you determine what strategies best fit your investing style. You may also want to creating a business plan: https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2010/01/26/outline-real-estate-business-plan-step-success/. "if you fail to plan then you plan to fail" -Benjamin Franklin. I'm a newbie like you I've been on BP for two months now and it's been one of best resources I've found for REI. Good luck and don't forget to enjoy the journey.
