@Richard Sherman Thank you!

I definitely plan on staying frugal and maximizing my savings, and wow; congrats on hitting such an impressive # of units.

@Chace Fraser Thanks for the welcoming! Scott's book was one of the first that I read regarding real estate investing, and I absolutely agree that it's a great resource.

Great post, Jeff!

I am so excited to start out my investing journey as you did. Posts like this are extremely helpful and motivational to someone like me who hasn't completed their first deal.

Kudos!

Hi everyone!

I'm Cameron Ysidron, and over the past year I've dived head first into tons of books, podcasts, and videos on a variety of topics in real estate investing. A little background on myself: I'm 22 years old, soon to be graduating with a degree in chemical engineering and (thankfully) with a very nice job already lined up. I'm also engaged, and my fiance will be graduating at the same time with her bachelor's in accounting. My short term plan is to aggressively save my income for the first year to build up some capital to work with, and then we want to look for a small multifamily property in Baton Rouge to house-hack with an FHA loan.

Long term, we would like to build up a portfolio that will allow us to live however we want to live by bringing in around $10k per month. I intend on becoming involved in as many community-oriented groups that I can, as I love giving back and helping others where I can.

I'm looking forward to interacting with the members of BP!
