I personally do buy and hold rentals, but I'm looking to eventually get into flips, MTR, maybe even STR. Being a full time agent, I've worked with everyone from first time buyers, $1m+ buyers but I've also worked with a number of investors, mostly on the LTR side. I love working with investors though because I've got experience as a financial analyst, so I can speak numbers with an investor.

Hello all!  I've been a long time lerker on BP and I've had an account for a long time, though I've not been very actice.  I'm local to Detroit metro area (including AA) and I'm an investor but also an agent.  I'm looking to connect with other local investors and agents for collaboration or just to be a sounding board!

Most money lenders, assuming you are obtaining a conventional mortgage instead of a sort of business loan, will not lend to an LLC but will lend to you as an individual. This is what happened with our 2 rentals. We got conventional mortgages in our (my wife and my) name and then did a quit claim deed over to our LLC.

Hmmm, I'm thinking the motor city could become the BiggerPockets City!  Just throwing it out there :)
