Currently I do not have the best credit (fair) and not so much extra cash. For those of you that have already made at least their first investment. Where did you get the money? Own cash, 401k, hard money lenders, bank.. Etc. tell me your story would like to learn different ways money can be found and used and how it went. Thanks

Hello Ivan. I plan on attending one @ Edgewater HS on Wednesday. I see you're in Kissimmee, not so far.. Is that the REIA meeting you attend monthly ?

Welcome to BP!

The Orlando area has some great REIA meetings each month. Make sure to check those out to network. I would also suggest partnering up with an experienced investor for your first few deals to help you get some skin in the game. Good luck!

Hello John, nice to meet you. Yes I found one at a local high school that I will be attending this Wednesday. First REIA meeting I will be in so no clue what to expect but am sure and hope to meet some experienced and intellect people that would be willing to coach me a bit. Thanks for the suggestion as I am know more motivated to go

Hey Deb Thanks for the support! Yes I plan on researching quite a bit before I  start but am sure that pretty soon I will be ready to begin my adventure in investing. I just ordered J.scotts book  to read but for now have been learning lots on this site. Have yet to listen to the podcasts but I will start listening them very soon :-)

also since I have decided to get my money back from than. I am willing to invest that in books and such to expand my knowledge. Any recommendations on what I should get? Or is that 3 day course worth it...

hello Members of bigger pockets my name is Chrristian  :-)

I do not know much about real estate investing but would love to learn more. I have read Than Merrils Building wealth book and have learned a few things there but i did not go to the 3 day course as i hear is a waste of time and 200$?

I currently work on tile floors, kitchens and bathrooms and sometimes work for investors  in fixing up their new rehab homes to flip. I am young and do not want to be laying tile the rest of my life so i would like to get into the buisness of real estate investing and flipping homes to build a wealth and possibly a passive income. I do not know much but am highly motivated and willing to learn. I am happy to be apart of this community and hope to learn from you all
