I'm in Statesville. My husband & I have rentals. We are working on increasing cash flow to pay off our personal debt and then buy more properties. I would love to move to flipping in the near future. Have fun exploring the site.

HI @Richard Brito . Welcome to the site. I lived in several apartment complexes in Tampa before buying my house in Valrico (just past Brandon). Moved to NC in '06. Not everyone is willing to make such sacrifices to get things going. You are making a great start. My first purchase in NC has a basement apartment. My best advice is to screen potential tenants carefully. Never fail to check employment references and criminal background as well as if they have any evictions against them. Once you have a good tenant, you won't want to lose them. Good Luck!

Hi @Matthew Edmond . I'm north of Charlotte at the I77 & I40 intersection. My husband is a CNC machinist and I'm a teacher. We currently have 8 rental units and are looking for 2-3 more in the next two years. If I didn't enjoy the search for properties so much I'd do what Troy suggests and get someone to do the leg work for me.
Best of Luck!

I haven't wholesaled any properties. Maybe we can get together some weekend and talk about strategies for finding deals, funding, etc.

Any time you get positive cash without putting any of your own money into it sounds great to me. Did you get the private lender before you found the deal or after?

HI,
I subscribe to a e-newsletter of a local real estate agent. She has these stats in the newsletter. You may be able to obtain what you want without getting the license. Although, I'm sure obtaining a license is not a bad idea.

Hi Chris and welcome. My husband, Thom, is also a CNC machinist and we have 8 rentals. We have a pair a duplexes and a few SFR. Sounds like we have similar goals. You should share story in the 'success story' forum. I'm sure lots of people would love to see the breakdown.
Best of luck with the new deal.
