Hey I am a newbie investor from the Grand Rapids area, would this be a good event for me to go to? I know it's a weird question but this is the only BP sponsored event in my state

I am a newbie investor in the Grand Rapids market but having trouble finding anything off market, as I have the financing, but my job being 1099 causes some problems. Would consider investing in Detroit if I got to know the right people would be great to connect. 

No problem happy deal hunting. We have looked at several houses so far and just by walking in and looking around, you will start to pick up on little things. Something I did not think was very serious, THAT is very serious, is The Market... things are going to go above asking price that, is just the way it is. It doesn't mean you are over paying or it is a bad deal. Just look at it from an investment stand point. I was Shocked at first but now that I think about it more, it all makes since. 

Nice to meet you, and glad to hear you made a profit off that condo, my girlfriend and I are actively looking for multifamily in Grand Rapids right now. Have spoken with a couple of very helpful relators, and viewed some interesting properties. Grand Rapids in the city is so far very expensive but when you factor in that it just keeps increasing in value.... We think it is a good idea to buy SOMETHING here. No matter what it is.
