Post: Please read! Buying using FHA

I have an owner occupied multifamily on FHA. I wouldn't advise lying (or owner occupying for one month then leaving) if that's the loan type/agreement you get...you're technically in breach of contract. I couldn't tell you what the repercussions are, but I'm sure somewhere in the 200 pages of closing documents it explains it. Where are you planning to live if it's not in the property you buy?

If you own a SFR free and clear, anyone know if you can use the equity/ property as collateral to obtain financing on a small multifamily to bypass the traditional 20% down payment required for conventional multifamily?

Post: KC Metro Multifamily- Experiences?

Looking to hear what experiences others have had as owners of multifamily properties in the Kansas City metro area. Owners of duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes...what areas of the metro have you had the best luck in having both quality tenants and quality properties while still maintaining positive cash flow? Thoughts on South Johnson County versus Wyandotte? Kansas side versus Missouri side?

Are these meetings still taking place? Possibly on another thread I haven't noticed.
