Todd,

If you still have availability to join the group I'd love to be a part of it.

@Darron Stewart

With such diverse interests in real estate, I'm curious as to what your first deal was? Where did you start? Why did you choose your first deal, and if you could do it again, would you make the same choice?

@Ned Carey

I have actually been to a couple of live real estate auctions. I will continue to go to them and soak it all in. Have you ever purchased a property site unseen? If so, was your experience positive or negative? If you have not, would you ever?

@Scott Trench

Any advice on how to find investors in my area? I'd love to physically meat people, I'm just not sure where to start with that. My boyfriend owns his own construction company and he does huge commercial projects for people building the types of apartment complexes and facilities that I want to own some day but the investors aren't involved in the projects at all.

@Jason Lint

I haven't caught the podcast yet but it's on my to do list! I used to have an hour drive to work that made personal development like that so much easier to get to! I have been watching the webcasts while I'm on the elliptical at night. I will find a way to squeeze them in and make them more of a priority. Thank you for the suggestion. Can I be so bold as to ask if you fund your own investments or if you use bigger pockets to help you find more creative ways to fund?

@Ned Carey I look at auction listings all the time but to be honest I'm flabbergasted as to how that works. We have a LOT of properties go up for auction in my area. But I rarely see an opportunity to actually view one of the houses. Did you purchase your auction home site unseen?

Just wanted to drop a quick line and introduce myself. My name is Colleen. I'm brand spanking new to the Bigger Pockets community. I'm looking forward to learning with you and from you. I'm just getting started in what I hope will be a long career with a diverse portfolio as a real estate investor and I'm quite curious where other people started? If you wouldn't mind sharing with me what your first deal was, or what sparked your interest in real estate and how you got started I would love to read your stories. Thanks for your time!
