@Kanwar Sodhi BP has been an invaluable asset to me, so I agree!

@Rodney Miller

Thank you! I agree a good coach can help small business owners scale exponentially.

My biggest hesitation with this coach with this coach in particular was lack of information on his own RE history. He said he does not publicize his RE endeavors because he does not want to come off "guru-ish", fair enough because there is enough regurgitated and repacked info out there.. but vaguely stating you own many properties and have done millions in transactions gives me little to go on in terms of legitimizing a track record.

@Michael K Gallagher I am trying to transition from wholesaling into accumulating more properties of my own and getting into more flips. Though I do plan to always keep wholesaling in my back pocket I would like to scale my business from that. I would say the two largest hindrance for my business now are access to more funds and generating more leads, I have had to let a few deals go that I would have loved to keep for myself if the access to cash was there but thank you for suggesting Monday.com I will look into that.

I think I am going to take a harder look at my core competencies and see how I can improve upon them before spending exorbitant money on a coach.

@Jeffery Waicak Hi Jeff!

I have yet to find someone open to mentoring for free but I will keep trying to make the connections to make that happen :)

@Joseph Cacciapaglia Thank you for the thoughtful response! It's not necessarily the motivation I need help with but the expertise I desire to have access to. This person in particular is not local to me so I feel uncomfortable trusting they have "done millions in transactions", and I don't know what type of materials to ask them for to prove legitimacy. I want to scale my business as I have a small portfolio, I want to restructure my business to grow at a less conservative rate than I am now.

I do agree an accountability partner would be beneficial so let me get on that!!  *asks if anyone is looking in my FB mastermind group now :)*

Hi, BP'ers!

I am an investor from Canton, OH who would like to scale my business to generate more cash flow and accumulate more properties in addition to the wholesaling I have been doing.

I recently have been in communication with someone who has offered their services to coach me. Although, I definitely see the value in receiving a coach, how can I ensure this is a legitimate opportunity?  I met them online and we are not in the same market so I am unsure of how to about vetting this person and confirming they are as knowledgeable as they say they are.

Any suggestions would be helpful?

Thanks in advanced.

@Jamie Shah

Yes, I agree! In the beginning, I often caught myself focusing too much time on the reading and researching different topics... you could say analysis paralysis.

Are you a full time investor at this point?

Hi, friends!

I enjoy BP because of the mix of people using investing in ways that best suits their lifestyle (i.e. investing as a side hustle, full time investors, etc.)

With that being said, how much time are you investing into your real estate strategy and how does this align with your investment goals?

For me, my goal is to have 30 doors by the time I hit my 30th birthday and with my current portfolio, it is looking like I need to acquire 4 doors per year for the next 6 years. I currently spend about 5 hours per week on learning, networking, negotiating with sellers, etc... Mind you, I work full time and I am in a graduate program so I have to be very intentional with how I allocate my time, but I would like to up my time spent on this to 10 hours per week, or 1.5 per day.

What about you guys?

Welcome, @Phil Lee

I am so excited for you and wish you the best of luck beginning your journey in REI!

BRRRR Method seems like a starting point for many newbies. It okay to be nervous, just make sure not to let your nervousness hold you back.

Happy investing,
