What is your goal?  Buy/hold, fix/flip?  Budget & available funds?  While Charlotte is hot - there are many investors overpaying then going over budget.  I recommend that a startup investor take on small projects to gain knowledge.

BB&T in Charlotte has a commercial loan Dept that will do these loans. Recommend you buy in an LLC for asset protection.

Charlotte is a hot rental market.  If you invest correctly and in the right areas you can get $200+ cash flow on each rental.  If you have $100k invested - rent should be $1200 minimum - returns of 10%+ or 20%+ on invested capital if financed.

Look at Charlotte networking events - would love to see you at the Hobby Millionaire meetings held multiple times each week.
