My wife and I are planning out our year and would like to get feedback on what conferences others plan to attend. We went to BPCON 2023, our first-ever RE conference, which was a blast and we want to continue building on our knowledge and expanding our portfolio.
Which conferences are you planning to attend and why?

@Justin Carter, my wife and I have been investing in St. Louis for 3 years, all CF-focused holds. A mix between long-term and mid-term. We're looking to acquire at least one additional building before year end. My wife is also a RE agent. Feel free to send me a DM and I'd be happy to answer any questions you have.

Hello, I am based in the metropolitan DC area and looking to invest out of state as this market is very expensive and it's hard to find a good deal. Does anyone have any experience investing in the Midwestern states? Was considering looking into markets such as Detroit, MI, Cleveland, Oh, St. Louis, MO, etc as from my understanding cash flow tends to be higher in those markets. I am primarily focused on cash flow vs appreciation at this point in time. Any thoughts on investing in those markets would be greatly appreciated.
Also, by chance does any have any contacts of real estate agents they can share in any of those markets?

When I attend a conference, I have a list of people I hope to meet and speak with. I will make a document with their picture, name, details of who they are and what I want to speak with them about. Then it's easier to keep my eyes open and look for them.
I always sit next to new people every time I can. I'm an introvert, so I have to force myself to sit with strangers and ask a good ice-breaker question to get in.

My wife and I are attending our first BPCON this month and we’re excited to get time away from our girls (2 and 4) and put some focus on expanding our MF portfolio. We currently have two buildings, one 14 family and one 4-family. One of our 18 units is a mid-term rental that we’ve seen great success with.
Do any repeat conference goers have any tips and tricks for us newbies?
Additionally, we’d enjoy networking with folks prior to and at the event so feel free to reach out!

What's up BP Family! My wife and I acquired our first multi-family investment property, a Class B 8-unit in St. Louis, early December 2020. We have big goals set for 2021 and we'd like to surround ourselves and network with experienced investors so we can derisk and accelerate our strategies.
I'm interested to hear about some of the top conferences other investors have attended or are excited about attending in 2021. With the increase in virtual conferences, we'll be able to attend more of these than in a typical year. Thanks in advance!

@Bud Gaffney thanks for starting this post! I’m actually writing down my goals now.
The goal my wife and I set a couple of months ago regarding rental properties was to also hit 20 units by the end of the year. We’re currently at 10 and looking to snag a 4-8 family in the next 3 months.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hello BP Fam,
I’m new to MF investing and looking for recommendations on solid property managers that work in the South City area. Any guidance?
Thanks!
