Welcome to the community! Lots of great people on here as well as in the Twin Cities. Look at possibly joining local REI groups which can help build connections. Good luck with your investing endeavors!

I searching for a triplex or fourplex in the Minneapolis area. Looking specifically to find one in Northeast Minneapolis or the Western Suburbs (Plymouth, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, Minnetonka). Please contact me if you have anything that is not currently listed on MLS. Thank you!

I need to get a few things sorted out with a local attorney in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area so any recommendations would be helpful. I also am wondering if any of you investors locally have worked with anyone concerning EIUL investing. I heard about it via the Bigger Pockets podcast and would like to get one started for myself, it seems like a really great option for retirement that will supplement real estate income investing. Thanks in advance!

Daniel

That's a great idea. I will look at the possibility of that. Right now I have moved on but the property is still listed. I will work on seeing if I can get a quote to see how much it would cost to fix that issue. Thank you. @Kyle Penland

Just an update. Been learning a bunch and just had the inspection done this morning on a duplex I had an offer that was contingent on inspection. Unfortunately the inspection found that the basement had some telling signs of foundation issues. Looks like I will be canceling the agreement and moving on. Really liked the place. I'm sure it's happened to others just thought it would be good to check in with others to see how often this has happened. Thanks

This is an interesting question in which I am looking to possibly do in a live-in duplex house hack. Will follow this to hear feedback.

thanks for all your input! Yep I decided not to pursue this after more research. Better to leave it alone and pursue a deal that has everything in place. Saves me the headache!

In the beginning stages of my first deal and the two inspectors I was planning on looking at aren't working out. Any suggestions in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area? Would like to receive an organized document after inspection for my records. Thank you!
