Alright, we now have 10 people who have RSVP'd to attend the Bigger Pockets meetup! I wanted to just share again that it is coming up! Tuesday, October 27th at 6:30 at the French Meadow Bakery and Cafe! You can join the meetup if you would like or feel free to just come! Looking forward to network and connect with everyone! Here is the link if you want to join the meetup:

There is no "official" Bi-Monthly meeting but about 15 of us met in August so I thought the time was right to do another one. There were some great connections made and I believe the more networking you can do the better you can succeed in anything.

I reserved a back room section at French Meadow Bakery and Cafe in Minneapolis for October 27th at 6:30 pm. All the info is also able to be viewed at this link:

Also feel free to message me if you are interested as well and I can send you the invite to join if that is easier for you. It would be good to have people post on this thread to see who is able to make it. It would be preferable to have at least 8-10 people make it.

Thanks!

Daniel

Ok, so I am posting in a couple Minneapolis/St. Paul forums to get the word out. But last time we did a BP meetup it was in August and we had about 14-15 people come. It was a great time. It's about that time again and I put together a meeting on meetup for us to meet again. I reserved a back room section at French Meadow Bakery and Cafe in Minneapolis for October 27th at 6:30 pm. All the info is also able to be viewed at this link:

Feel free to join the meetup to confirm.

Maybe you can put together an event on Facebook and invite the few people you have connected with so far, then ask them to invite anyone they know? I understand what you're saying. I hope you can get a good group together up there! @Kyle Soderman

The best thing you can do if there is nothing is to start something. If you commit to it and believe in it then you'll get a good group of people coming. Whether that's once a month or every other month. That would be my advice.

I agree with @Sawyer Lubke, this is such a great place to connect with other people in the real estate world. I have only been connected for the last few months and have built some pretty great connections already. Will be finalizing my first deal (hopefully) in the next couple weeks with a partner I met here in BP. Let us know what you're looking for and most are willing to chime in and give some advice or help out. Welcome and hope to connect sometime soon!

Welcome!! Well...kind of! Great community here and also I think the Minneapolis BP community talked about doing a bi-monthly meeting so we will probably meet in October at some point! Look forward to connecting and I'm sure we will hear about some pretty great stories in the future!

Good choice! Lots of creative ways to get into it. Don't need a ton of money, just good work ethic and be smart. Also willing to network and meet people. You never know who it could be that could help you make that next deal happen. Welcome to the community. Lots of wonderful people in the Minneapolis area to connect with.

You have to know the area well. Some areas are more dangerous than others. You may make more cash flow but you trade that with D class tenants which you have to figure out if it's worth the cash flow and possible vacancies sometimes. I have heard that a few people have done well, but I'm sure there are 10x as many casualties on the side of the road from investing in some areas. I don't know too much but I would prefer better renters and would pay higher to get a better renter in that would stay longer.
