I have the opportunity to make significant tax-free gains in my Roth IRA LLC. My research produced mixed results. My broker says this is legal and he will handle all the trading for me. I'm hoping that there are some experienced BP members who have experience with this and can help me. Can I do that using my SD IRA?

you guys seem to be the experts in this area and I have a follow up question for you. I'm considering purchasing investment property in my ret. acct. but before I buy it I will have to travel to the area where the property is located and will have some expenses. Will I have to pay travel and other related expenses with my personal funds or with my ret. funds (after all there is a possibility that the offer may not go through)?

I agree, it would depend on the type of property you manage, lower quality may require a lot of time involvment, may not be worth it.
