Hi Dmitriy,

I saw an article from Nerdwallet of yours. In the article, you mention that the maximum contributions for the Roth Solo 401k are $18,000 per year as of 2015. The Solo 401k plan maximums are $18,000 plus 25% of the net earnings of the business up to a maximum of $53,000 (All figures for someone under the age of 50). My first question would be would you recommend contributing the maximum possible to the Solo 401k then immediately converting that to a Roth Solo 401k? Are there any restrictions to doing this? I understand that I would have to pay tax on this conversion. Secondly, our self-employment income would be from being a Realtor. How does one determine how much of the income is salary and how much is “business income?” Thanks!
