Hey everyone, my ultimate goal is to own apartments. I keep hearing that folks go to the bank with a "portfolio".

My current plan is to buy and hold small multi- family homes for the next two years before looking for larger units. This seems like a logic plan ... to me.

So my question: Is there any combination of properties to be seen as "experienced" in the eyes of creditors when the time comes to get larger properties?

Hello, I'm totally new and I have no idea what the rules of engagement are in these forums.

Okay, I'm finally jumping in and looking for another rental. My first was purchased traditionally and I'm looking for a house to Lucia's for v my family that I will flip and sell in two year. So I'm left with looking at new funding sources. I'm looking into rental loans but I'm not sure if what pros and cons I need to look into (I want to make sound decisions not one off of excitement).

Any advice?
