Hey Everybody, mark your calendars! Our local RE360 group will be meeting this Thursday, December 15th 2016 at 6pm. We will be getting together at Zocolo's in Ashley Ridge behind Outback in Shreveport.

This is the last time we are getting together for 2016, so I would like to encourage you all to come hang out. We've had some awesome turnouts the past few months and we'd love for you to be a part of the fun. 

If there's anybody you know that you think would benefit from hanging out and networking with some amazing investors in Shreveport/Bossier City, please spread the word. The more the merrier! Newbies to seasoned investors all welcome.

@Steven W. Nice, yea I figured that was the area. Very heavy with plexes over there. Good luck with everything and if you're ever in the market to unload that property, I wouldn't mind getting some info on it :)

Hey @Steven W., thanks for sharing your story!  I noticed that on your property in Shreveport, you listed it as a triplex, but then as a duplex further down. I was curious as to which one it is and what area in town it is located? It seems like all of the mulit-family properties that I come across tend to be in the Highland area. Wasn't sure if that was true for yours as well.

Hey @Adam Avinger, congrats on pulling the trigger on your first deal! The numbers sounds awesome! If you need any help or advice along the way, feel free to reach out to me or the tons of other awesome local investors. 

We actually have a couple of investor groups that get together monthly. RE360 is a great social group that gets together for networking the third Thursday of every month at Zocolo's in Shreveport. I usually send out the info for the meet-up, so if you'd be interested, I'd be happy to tag you in the post when the date gets a little closer. 

The other group is SBREIA (Shreveport Bossier Real Estate Investor's Association), it is an educational meet-up that gets together the third Monday of every month at Picadilly's in St. Vincent Mall. There are awesome speakers that come talk on different topics to help grow and educate you in your real estate ventures.

We'd love for you and your wife to come hang out and meet the other investors in town. If you have any questions, hit me up.

I definitely second what Michael said and highly recommend reading both of those books. They are amazing resources to give you some knowledge and direction into how to rehab your property. 

Just curious though, how did you come across your property in Shreveport while living in California? Are you from the area?
