@Jason Dillard @Tom Goans Thank you for your responses. I am buying new construction and I just need a lawyer to manage the closing. I understand that SC is an attorney state so Title will run through them. The options through the builder seem pricey, and I have the liberty to find my own so wanted to see if there were any recommendations. I am in Georgia so have my resources here but looking for recommendations in Greenville.

Let me know what you think...

@Andrew L. I've had no luck with MLS in Atlanta. Actually the only things that worked for me were going through Craigslist for someone selling FSBO and through my property manager. Both were effectively sold off the market.

I've also heard Loopnet is a good source, but there is a fee for more exhaustive searches. I do see a lot of multi and commercial properties there.

I haven't gotten to the yellow letters, but it's looking more and more like the way to go.

Best of luck,

Fellow BPers,

Would anyone have a lawyer they would recommend for a closing in Greenville, SC?

Thanks,

Hugo,

I'd be very skeptical of anyone that offers you a monthly return of 9%. That sounds like a candidate for a Wall Street Journal story in 5 years. If you're looking to establish a self-directed IRA I have a lawyer who can help you out. Email or PM me.

Tony,

I could be mistaken but I believe Postcard Mania was mentioned in the 2nd podcast by Karen Rittenhouse.

I've never heard of Costco particularly for renter's (the only one I've been actively shopping for). State Farm was reasonable for me.

I'm in North Fulton County.

@Todd Whiddon Salt is great and have been there many times. Lots of great options down there.

@Brandon Turner I think the antics are what keep me coming back :). I consider them half laughter therapy and the other half a great education. Keep up the great work. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hi BP Community,

My name is Sree Vemulapalli and I've been stalking this community for a few months and have enjoyed Josh & Brandon's antics on the podcast for just as long. I'm thrilled to be a part of this network and I have to thank you already for all that I've learned. In the long term, I hope I'll be as good a source of information for the members here as you've all been for me.

With regard to background, I'm a Chemical Engineer by the way of schooling but for the last 8-9 years I've been running a steadily growing business in the Software Services industry. With regard to real estate, I'm working on my 3rd purchase in about a year with the idea of steadily acquiring cash flowing assets and experience. As I said, I've learned a lot already and look forward to contributing to this community.

Regards,

Sree Vemulapalli
