Great question. I have the same so I'm following this topic. I'm also looking to buy rentals in the Birmingham Area. 

I do know that Birmingham has several turnkey providers and many of them purchase homes in Midfield, Center Point, Farfield, Bessemer and all along the I-59 corridor. The numbers on these houses are good with good rent to value ratios. The problem is that sometimes the monthly rent is low and the areas are more B/C type properties. 

I've been following BP (listening to podcasts and reading articles) for a little over a year, but I just now created a profile. My intent is to be a bit more active on the site as I'm able. I'm here to learn everything I can about real estate. I hope to grow my portfolio of cash flowing SFH's. I'm also interested in multi-family investments and the world of buying notes.
