@Joe Rodriguez Maine over the Cape!! Haha. But really, my family did the same thing and growing up my favorite place in the world was my parents camp on the lake. Feel free to reach out with any questions on the area!

Are you looking at a property that's in need a face lift? Maybe you're an investor that loves making deals but interior/exterior design is just not your forte. I'm here to help!

I am an aspiring interior designer looking to take on new clients. Since I have little to show, I am willing to do some pro-bono work to help build my portfolio in order to jump start my career. All that I ask in return is to photograph the end results.

A little bit about me:

After working 5+ years in the advertising industry in Boston, I decided to pursue my true passion of real estate to channel more of my creative energy. I am now a Realtor with Keller Williams Maine, and also serving the lake regions and Greater Portland.

Known by my friends and family as the "go-to" for all design related questions, I've finally mustered up the courage to take a shot at my dream of being an interior designer. There are little things that give me more joy than flipping through Architectural Digest and Dwell magazines with a cup of coffee in hand. There's nothing like walking into a space and immediately getting giddy when envisioning its hidden potential.

If you need a second opinion on a design project, from picking out the perfect color scheme for your new home office, to help with a complete home renovation, I would be delighted to help! If you're looking to sell and need some advice on which improvements to make in order to give you the highest R.O.I, or if you're looking to buy and need help envisioning a home(s) potential, please reach out! I'm happy to help any way I can.

Last but not least, if you're interested in real estate investing but design is not your forte, I'm open to partnering up. I have some knowledge and connections in the REI world, in addition to a Maine real estate license. I also have a brother that is an architect in San Fransisco who I can run any improvement plans by.

If interested, please respond to this post and we can set up a 15 minute meeting to go over any/all questions and job details.

@Dan H. @Dave Fairb @Ryan Howell- all great insight. Very interesting to hear different perspectives/experiences. @Steven Griffith I agree, I think it boils down to location, and if the pandemic has taught us anything, is that a prime location is subjective to environment we live in. I mean, just look at NYC now vs. 9 months ago.

Thank you everyone! Super, super helpful.

Hello,

I'm dabbling with the idea of airbnb-ing a future investment property, however I was curious if anyone had any insight on where they anticipate the airbnb market going? With the pandemic showing little to no signs of slowing, I'm wondering if there's any airbnber owners out there that could shed some light into how their business(es) is holding up.

Thanks!

Ellie

Thanks again Mike! It was great chatting with you earlier.

Hi there,

I am in the process of moving to Portland, ME and just passed Maine real estate agent exam. I am now starting to look for a brokerage to sign with in the area. I was wondering if there's any fellow Portlanders out there that have insight into which brokerage agencies are worth looking into?

Thanks!

Ellie

Hi there-

I have been looking to buy in the Portland (Maine) region for the past few months as my boyfriend recently got a new job there.  We realize this is not the best time to buy, but I came across what seems to be a pretty good deal for the area. We're looking to flip- this would be our first investment property. I was curious if anyone could refer a site where I can get the historical property/sale data? Does anyone have any strong opinions on buying during this unprecedented time?

Thanks!

Ellie
