Thanks for the response. would you involve the same amount of paperwork that you get when you are renting a regular apartment, when you rent out a room? meaning addendums such as lead paint, pet policy, behaviour in the community etc
Thank you, Ghassan. I appreciate the response!
Hey guys, would you get umbrella insurance for your home, if you are just getting started on house hacking, and would you treat each individual room as apartments, when it comes to providing tennants with the same paper work you sign when you lease an apartment? I rented a room I found on craig list, but the guy did not offer me any paper work at all. No lease or anything else. We just agree to things verbally.

hey guys, does anyone knows anything about this D.R. Horton location? It is called OLD KINGS TRAIL, North west of jacksonville. the unit zip code is 32219. I am not too crazy about the location. I want to rent individuals rooms if I buy there, but I am concern tha I may have issues with high vacancy rates. I drove around the area, and I personally did not like it. I dont see anything appealing around the area except the apartment complex itself. I want to buy it only for investment purposes. live in one unit, rent the rest of the rooms. Any advice on the quality of the location will help. Thanks

Thank you very much. I really appreciate the information! They are saying that that is a fixed interest rate for the whole 30 years. i will ask again and make sure it is in writing.

check all other variables and see what you come up with. rental history, vacancy, transport, how is the area like other than near a cemetery? do the same research you would do if the house was not near a cemetery. if the numbers are good, can you get a discount on the purchase price?
