Post: Former church built in 1950s

Where is located? Can you move it to Andover? :) we need a building but we would like to stay in Andover or at least East Wichita.

OK, help me understand. I'm a newbie, but when you finance a house and put $40k down, and get back around $5K per year, how is that a good deal, if you have $40k tied up for 10 years in a property? Are you refinancing once the rehab is done, and getting your $40K back out? Just curious and trying to learn.

Dean,

Leaving the "Cube" in three weeks. Just getting started wholesaling and learning Lease  Options. I'm a church planter and ready to make the funds I need to support my family as we continue to grow the church. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to reading your story in the days ahead.

Good afternoon,

I'm fairly new to wholesaling and I've been doing some driving for dollars and analyzing and I've found a few properties, I think would be good deals, but not sure which apps are best at recording data, analysis, finding the owners ect. I know there are some out there, but which are the best? Are there any free apps that do a  good job? I know when I get home, I can use Zillow, Trulia, Realor.com but what's the best tool mobile use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Peter, I would try to reach out to some of the other RE Investors in your area. Maybe start another post and ask to meet some people in Omaha. I know there are a lot of people on here that would be happy to meet you and help you along in your journey. Don't feel like you're alone, that is one of the reasons that BP was created, to network with others. I reached out to this community and have already met a couple of guys that have encouraged and even helped me get in the game.

Hang in there!

Hello Ken,

Welcome to BP. I'm not an expert by any means but I do know that BP has plenty of resources, articles, podcast, and connections to get you started. Youtube is also a good resource to get you started.

Best!

Peter,

I imagine returning to your 70k job is probably not an option. If it is, that's probably the easiest solution. I'm fairly new this whole side of investing, but have you considered Wholesaling? From everything I've read and listened to, you don't need much to get started and if you find the right deal, it can pay you fairly well. I would definitely do some investigating on this subject, and see if that's a fit. BP has a done of info, in written form, and in podcasts. THen there is Youtube and you can find a lot there also. The Flip man could get you a long way down the road on your learning curve.

I hope you find a solution and have great success!
