Home owners insurance is for you in your own personal home. They cover the contents inside your home as well as the structure itself.

Landlords Insurance is insurance that an investor/landlord will get when they are renting out the property to a tenant. It will cover the structure from fire, wind/hail, etc. This policy doesn't cover the tenants contents and so they will need to get their own renters insurance.

So my husband and I have talked about starting a family business buying and flipping houses. I work in insurance but other than that, neither of us have any experience in the industry or with construction.

Is it even really possible to jump into this with no prior experience and just learn as we go (about renovations and the whole process, etc)and if so, do you have any stories of a couple that started out like this?

Thanks!!!
