The fun fact about the Orinda ordinance is that it legitimizes train cars.

@Marc Dufour Can you share more info about your land in Richmond?

There was recently a bigger pockets podcast about this not too long ago. In Episode 57 Brandon interviewed Matt Landau about his VR operation in Latin America. It's worth a listen.

Water, and property values, and the central coast play an interesting role in the town of Baywood-Los Osos. BLO is 10 miles away from a university, close to a power plant(jobs), most homes are a walk away from the beach. Houses sell for less than $500k, and 1/4ac lots are going to less than $100k. The only downside is the moratorium on septic systems, and the sewage treatment plant being at capacity. No one can build a house in BLO.

Twenty miles from SF, and right on the Pacific, Bolinas has a a lack of water to support more people. Bolinas sources it's water from a small creek. In 2005, a hook up to the water mains sold for $300,000.

Most of Costal California lacks water to have an increase in population.

What an interesting little town. From searching on airbnb, one host says:

I love living in this quiet Norwegian village close to the woods full of wild mushrooms and berries in the summer and cross-country skiing opportunities in the winter.

It sounds like she has very strong reasons for wanting to buy a place in Spydeberg. Have you talked to her about her feelings for buying in Norway?

How would you handle sewage? Many San Franscisco Bay Area cities have ordinance against sleeping in RV's. Palo Alto comes to mind. Where is your land?

@Robert Brubaker is correct, your HOA could decide to drag you over the coals for this.

Imagine the board thinking about the possibility of a Triple X freak fest (NSFW) happening in the development, while you're asking for forgiveness.

Did you go though with the deal?
