I suggest attending our membership meetings (every third Saturday), downloading our rental forms as needed, opening up all of our emails for updates, and calling us whenever you have questions. These benefits are all unlimited with your membership. You should be receiving your ID and login soon.

I encourage you to look into EBRHA (a rental property owner association) if you do end up getting into the rental property business.

Eduardo: I can't offer much input on the crime, but Richmond recently passed Measure L, which establishes rent and eviction laws in the city. I think one of the first steps is calling the local rent board or reading the ordinance to see if your property falls under the new laws. If it does, you'd be subject to those laws and would be limited to whatever the city sets for rent increases. More information here: http://www.ebrha.com/city-of-richmond/
