@Alec Newman Congrats!! That’s a great idea I’m sure you will make way more than regular rent. I tried it out with my own apartment 3 years ago and then scaled an arbitrage business to 26 properties and purchased 3 as well. It’s honestly life changing!

Hey guys! New here and had a lot of fun reading how everyone started in the real estate business. When I first started, I didn't have any money, experience or credit to buy. I started off renting out my own apartment on Airbnb. Not the typical way to start in the business but fast forward 3 years later and I now have 26 properties that I rent and sublease legally on Airbnb and other vacation rental platforms. I was also able to buy 3 from profits I made from subleasing. It's a new method that not many people may be familiar with but it works and does not require much money out front to start your real estate journey! Hope this post can help someone!

Hello,

I'm located in Miami. I started about 3 years ago with my own apartment. I started with the arbitrage method. Renting and subleasing properties on Airbnb & other booking platforms. The market has been growing so fast that I am currently at 26 units on arbitrage and was able to buy 3 just from the profits I make renting and subleasing. Condos that allow short term rentals have rose in value by about 20-30% in the past two years and it doesn't look like its slowing down anytime soon. Miami during the summer is usually fairly slow at regular rates but we have been renting for a much higher than the past two years. Many people are shifting away from the whole hotel service and opting for fully equipped condos or homes.
