Hi Marc - Congrats on the final project! So all private lenders are going to have different requirements from their borrowers. I would ask your lender what the best option is and how their current borrowers are handling this.

Hi Chris, Congrats on your first deal! People always need somewhere to live so if you are in a hot market in MA you should be fine. However, make sure to do your due diligence and not just rent it out to the first person to want it. I liked using Cozy for my rentals and having credit ran through them - really helped me select top notch tenants.

Hi Robert, Congrats on the new journey - REI is a fun endeavor to take on. I would recommend any type of loan originator position whether it be in the conventional or private space. You learn a lot about real estate, make a lot of great connections, and can use your personal strengths in this role. I love my job and I get to be surrounded in everything RE.
