I may be relocating there for work, and was considering buying a multi-family home to live in while I rent the other unit out. 

I don't have a lot of money, $140K is my max. There is plenty to buy well under $100K but the neighborhoods likely aren't the greatest. 

Can anyone suggest any areas surrounding Cleveland where there is minimal blight, and $140K will get you into a fairly clean neighborhood?

I am beginner investor in residential properties and i thought it would be a better idea to go into commercial properties for a higher return. However, there is more risk involved with commercial and I need an agent who can find good deals and guide me through this process. 

Looking to expand my portfolio across the country and really want a short term rental in Columbus. If anyone could tel me what the market is like out there and where are the best areas (most recommend) to buy a sort term rental property 

Hey all! My wife and I are preparing to start our real estate investing journey in the next year. We live in a super high cost of housing area in NW Montana so we are thinking we need to be looking at long-distance investing for the time being. I've been eyeing Cleveland as a potential market to start out in. I will be out in Cleveland on March 24th for work and am looking to make contact with reputable property management companies and/or investor focused real estate agents while I'm in town. Does anyone have any good contacts I could reach out to?

Also, we aren't married to Cleveland as our final market yet. It just initially seemed to make sense based on the availability of properties, the cost of entry as a new investor, and work taking me out there occasionally. If anyone has any reason for us to avoid the Cleveland market or has any suggestions for any other markets that would be good for me to start researching I am open to any suggestions and/or advice in that regard as well.

Glad to be starting my REI journey. I have 2 situations here and would be delighted to have input on these:

1. House Hacking - I have just closed on a new build in Littleton (South-West Denver). The plan is to be in one room and rent out the two other rooms. Are there any property managers here who would love to jump on board to take complete control of the screening/rental/management processes. I usually have a busy dschedule and would want to outsource this. Any leads are welcome.

2. Midwest REI - I'm looking to make some cash purchases in the Midwest. The focus, for now, is on good cash-flowing properties - Multifamily units preferred. Currently looking at Cleveland, but open to other options. Looking forward to hearing from Wholesalers & Agents with great deals/leads.

I'm considering investing in Cleveland Ohio as it seems the properties are cheap and will cashflow. I am located in PA and trying to learn what I can remotely and would really appreciate some feedback from those already investing there.
