Hi All.

I'm curious as to whether anyone has heard of this group and what you've heard/experienced.

They seem to have an interesting model, and I am thinking of signing up.  They are offering a 24 month education and mentoring program with the aim of getting 10 properties in 10 years.  The offer includes unlimited access to coaches, supply of resources and tools and introduction to their experts including property managers, solicitors, financial advisors etc.

It sounds great.  But it's not cheap, as you'd expect if they're genuine.  So before I commit that kind of money I'm curious if other people have heard of them...?

Cheers,

Helen

Hi,

So I thought we should stop hijacking @David Gregory's thread and see what we could do about organising a get together.  The timing, right before Christmas, is terrible - so maybe we should for aim for after the new year.

What do you think?

@Dash Siva, @Aaron Mercer, @Simon Baker, @Deborah Tucker (can someone tag her I apparently don't have her as a colleague).

Hi @Simon Baker.  You have a good memory.  Yes, I meet with a group Saturday  to play Cashflow (http://www.meetup.com/Sydney-Cashflow-Club/events/226963671/).  It's lots of fun, I learn more every week.  Plus we have a discussion about our goals for the week and mindset at the end.

It would be great to get a Bigger Pockets group together.  Maybe we should move this to a new thread though...? @Dash Siva @Deborah Tuck @Aaron Mercer

Hi Das. I would love to learn more about the group you're thinking of getting together. I would also be keen on coffee and a chat. Cheers, Helen

Hi @Joey. Welcome to BP. I'm in the learning process myself. Whereabouts in Vic are you? I'm from the north eastern suburbs of Melbourne but currently living in Sydney. Cheers, Helen

Hi @Marz Junior.

Good to see another Aussie on here :). I like your plan. I'm curious though how you plan to handle doing fix and flip from a distance..?  I find even managing small renovations on my home in Melbourne from Sydney a challenge. Even from contractors I have worked with in person for years before I moved. (Still wondering why the floor in the sunroom has one coat of walnut and the rest of the house has two after three years).

Cheers,

Helen

@Pat L. I would love to foster some skinny lambs right now. The combination of a week of rain then a week of sunshine here in Sydney has killed my lawn mower.

Hi @Nathan Pierce.

Wow, I wish I was even a quarter as switched on as you before 30.  I would love to know how you've gone about investing in Australia, what your strategy was, good things and bad.

Cheers, Helen

Hi Luke. I am looking in the areas around Broadmeadows. There are pockets that have a higher rate of return. There are also pockets in regional towns. I have been reading about Helen Collier Kogtevs recently. She has written some books. I haven't looked at it very much. She has built a real estate investing business from little money to being wealthy by balancing negative and positive cashflowing properties. Cheers, Helen
