Thank you for your response and kudos to you for your integrity in putting your clients needs above yours. I was stationed in Hampton Roads a ew years ago and believe the investor opportunities are better there than here in NOVA. I for sure will start local though once I get in gear, but can see venturing back there at some point.

Again, thank you and I will take you up on the offer for further conversation.

Hello Tiffany. I have yet to make my first deal but am hopefully getting close. I am reading up on the pros/cons of obtaining a real estate license as an investor. I've considered getting mine for years but with a full time job, do not know if I should. What is your personal opinion on the advantages and disadvantages of being a licensed realtor and investor?

I have no experience in this but salute you sir for your desire to provide for the disabled vets and senior citizens.

Hello, I've been lurking BP off and on for a couple years and decided to jump in. I've wanted to get in real estate since the early 80s but have gotten no further than reading and learning. I'm a retired Navy Corpsman and now teach high school. The decent money and plenty of off time seems to be the right combination for me to start.

My son, son in law, and I are considering a partnership of some sort. My son is deployed but will bring back some savings. My daughter's husband makes great money and has a cousin who is a real estate agent. She is showing us a distressed property tomorrow. I am happy to have found this site as the level of expertise and amount of information is beyond impressive.
