Shorty after buying my house six years ago, county vehicles would show up to inspect the property but not be able to get in. They not too discreetly revealed their agency and reason for being there.

The home owner also confirmed to whom he rents. Even after spending tons of money on repairs after the previous tenets trashed the place, he rented to another family who is doing the same.

My next door neighbor kept their German Shepherd chained up outside in the heat with no water. They already had one GSD die for some mysterious reason. I called animal control who showed up within minutes, gave them a citation, and told them to take the dog inside. They never left it out again.

I'm not a landlord but live next door to a house who has section 8 tenants. I could write volumes of negative comments but I'm sure you are looking for info from landlords. The owner of the house next door is a slum lord and is only in it for the direct deposit so he would lie to you. If I ever become a landlord, no section 8 will ever enter my door.
