You're welcome.

At first reading Reed's reviews were annoying at times, but then it occurred to me that he is the way he is probably because of frustration over the "bad name" that scammers, MLMers, and rip-off type gurus cause to the industry. If people start to think that everyone in the RE biz are just a bunch of sleazy, greedy con-artists, then what does that do for the legitimate businesses?

Even Robinson talks about that in his book. How landlords are depicted in the public's eye, and how to deal with that.

Even in my own profession, where there's no regulation...the legitimate businesses have to constantly fight a reputation of irresponsible, non-professional types. It can get really, really frustrating for those who are doing their best to be truthful, responsible and professional in their work.

Through the Azcashflowclub newsletter, I got a link to www.johntreed.com who has reviews of RE Gurus, their programs and books, including NR, and Kiyosaki himself.

I found this site very informative. At first I thought it would be a thinly veiled way of self promotion. However, the criticisms are well-developed (albeit sometimes emotional), and backed with research. Yes, he is self-promoting as well, but not thinly veiled by any means....and Reed himself can be easily researched.

I used this info as a way to find cheap/free info by real veterans of the business who have had years upon years of steady success.

The first thing I did after visiting this site was buy a book called Landlording by Leigh Robinson who Reed clearly holds on a pedestal. Yes, it is somewhat outdated, but nevertheless can be applied today. I think it's a good start for beginners.

Check it out...it might be helpful for newbies.

That sounds good, except that my only current website is my profession, which is pet sitting.

I am a professional pet sitter partnering with my daughter in the East Valley. We are Creature Feature Pet Sitting, LLC.

I agree.

My husband and I never really got on that "keep up with the Joneses" lifestyle.

I believe now it has saved our butts more than a few times over the years!

So, if someone has a bad deal on their hands, are you referencing them to someone else, or doing the deal for them yourself?

Possibly....but when a first-time homebuyer is being told from a "seasoned agent" that they can claim the appreciation from the home they are buying as income.....or that the true definition of an ARM is purposely withheld....the buyer thinks they are getting the info they need.

So, do you tell people how qualify for the "good" loans, or how to save for down payments?

Or are you advising them on how to avoid scams?

Hello Dave,

I like that you educate people against bad debt! Especially in AZ...esp. in Scottsdale!

That seems to be all the rage over there...show everyone how much stuff you can accumulate!
