Will F. Hi there! I too, am looking in that area. Mainly LB. I haven't found any as of yet. I plan on house hacking for a year and then repeat it. I am a newbie as well. Wishing you luck my friend! I may consider getting with a realtor if all else fails on my own.

Hi welcome! I lived in Seoul for 5 years and I plan to go back with my wife to start REI. It is awesome to see BPers in Korea!

Hi BP fam! I am Korean-American, and while I lived and worked there for 5 years (3 years Active Duty Military and 2 as a Civilian), I grew to love the country met my wife there and now thinking of living there permanently and retiring there as I build my REI business here in CA as well.

I've seen apartments (usually high rise, considered more of a luxury home) near US military bases are being rented out to Active Duty military members that are stationed there and they seem to be doing quite well.  I know the RE market is hot out there and it is also quite expensive in Seoul (the capital).

My goals are to start in the States as I get more experienced, and slowly work my way to Korea.

I'd like to know if there's any investors who are currently investing in Korea or plan to. Love to get any insights !

Thanks!

@Josie Roman Thanks for the tips! I do see Long Beach as a great location and it's actually not a bad commute to where I work. You are correct about it being condo county here in OC.  You mentioned no rent control, can you tell me what that means? Thanks so much!

Hey there, welcome! I am new myself and I work in LA. I suggest you join real estate investor club thru Meetup.com. There is a networking event held in Long Beach on 10 Dec. hosted by FIBI. Good luck to you!

Hi Logan, Yes I actually have considered FHA and VA to purchase a multi-unit property. I have only lived in OC for about a year now so I am aggressively looking for mentors who would offer guidance in SoCal. Do you have any suggestions on where to look for multi unit properties? I figure there would be better resources for REIs. I still have yet to attend a networking event this coming December so definitely excited about that.

Hello everyone! I am new to real estate and have so much to learn. I am currently working in the federal sector being a military veteran, I am still looking to find my road to success. I find real estate investing so intriguing so I have decided to take part in learning and hopefully apply it towards my financial goals. I am more attracted to single family residential properties for building equity and cashflow. At least for now :) I look forward to getting any advices from all of you here! Thanks!
