Thank you for the colleague request, Fabrice. Unfortunately something isn't working right because when I try to accept you as a colleague, it won't let me! You might make the request again, and I'll keep trying.

Welcome, Roberta. Good luck with the reverse mortgage. There are some lenders that specialize in that. Keep asking until you find the right one.

Joel is 100% correct. Have another agent write it up, or your broker and then take a referral fee from them.

Welcome, Robert! Birddogging can be an excellent way to build resources and gain experience, contacts and knowledge. I don't know about birddogging for wholesalers, since we specialize in short sales, but we have several birddogs across the country who find short sales for us. We pay a referral fee based on our profit. I'm sure there are others here on Bigger Pockets that do the same.

Congratulations, Tim on getting the auction postponed. While I too think it is important getting to know the homeowner, and building trust, I have to say that that's not what got the sale postponed. You can have the best relationship in the world, but you still have to convince the short sale lender too postpone the auction date. Whether they do or not depends on the lender (some are easier than others) and a myriad of other circumstances.

Hopefully you can find a buyer and negotiate an acceptable price so that a short sale is approved and the homeowner can escape foreclosure.

Welcome, Mohammed!

I have no idea what the market is in Dubai. I would suggest that you carefully watch sales, and learn which neighborhoods are selling, and for what price. Then when you are ready, you should be able to make wise decisions. As far as savings each month, I would suggest you save as much as possible. Watching your pennies now will reap big benefits in the future.
