Yes upstairs. People start arriving around 6:00 and they talk before the meeting. There is also a real estate lawyer who comes and you can ask him any questions. I know one of the members, Adam, is a financial planner and he could be more helpful with your 401K questions.

@Beverly Wertz, welcome to BiggerPockets. I invest in the West Shore. The real estate investors group on the West Shore is named CARPOA. We meet the first Thursday of the month at the Camp Hill Giant Foods store at 7:00. I personally have not rolled my 401K into an IRA, but if you come I'm sure you can meet those who have done so and can help you.

Thanks @Steve Rozenberg for those screening questions. I currently do my own property management, but want to hire it out in the future. Those will help when I get to that point.
I think finding a property manager that is honest and does a great job is more important than one that is perfectly incentivized. If the investor is not happy with the service they can go do one of his competitors and he looses all that business.

My sister in law is a lawyer, so I was hoping that this could help them. Is there somewhere I could look at what percent of closing costs are taxes and what percent are legal fees? Thanks for the info.

I'm trying to get my brother and sister-in-law interested in investing in rental properties. They live in Orihuela. I'm not sure about tax benefits and current rental rates vs purchase price in their area.

My brother and sister in law are Spanish and I was talking to them about investing in rental properties. He is an architect and she is a lawyer. She processes several foreclosures a month and he would be perfect at rehabbing properties. The economy is still down in Spain so I think the time to buy is right. My problem is that I don't know several things and I was hoping the BP community could help me out. As background they live in Alicante, so long term rentals and vacation rentals would be an option.
1. Is there a good site, similar to Zillow, in Spain that shows what real estate is selling for and what they are renting for?
2. Are there any tax benefits in Spain like there are here in the United States?
3. Are there any books or investment communities (like BP) that deal with investing in Spain?
Thanks for your help,
Jake

Hi Justin,
There is a group of real estate investors on the west shore. The group is called CARPOA. We meet the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 in the camp hill Giant. There is a community room upstairs. If you can come it is a great opportunity to meet other local investors.
