Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb's recent lead paint certification law proves how little he cares about the children in the city of Cleveland. Many believe his lead paint certification policy is just a cash grab. A common mistake a lot of new real estate investors make is letting their emotions get in the way of smart business decisions. When you're in the real estate game, especially the rental property side, it's very easy to let your emotions cloud your judgement. You've got deadbeat tenants giving you sob stories so you won't evict them for stealing money from you. You've got investors who renovate their properties to fit their personal decorating tastes as opposed to what is more efficient in the marketplace. You've got people who renovate Section 8 properties to the standards of their personal home even though they're just going to get destroyed by the tenants. If you want to succeed as a real estate investor you can't get sentimental about your rental properties. If you want to make money investing in rental housing you'll need to make sound business decisions based on data as opposed to emotions. Ultimately your only real recourse would be to have the HOA foreclose. So you'll need an attorney. I suggest the owners who are paying split the cost to hire an attorney to go after the non payment members.

A lot of people get evicted from their homes in Detroit, Michigan. In fact, as many as 41% of certain types of tenants have to be evicted for non payment of rent.
