Welcome to the BP community and congrats on the purchase of your 1st investment property. It can be challenging to manage rental properties as a long distance landlord but it is doable and is being done by other real estate investors. The key is finding a strong team that also share your desire for success.

Rich, Welcome to the BP community. I also live in Kennesaw and can't imagine living anywhere else. It is indeed a beautiful city and I so love the convenience. Have you been to the North Metro REIA as yet? If not, they meet in Acworth. Again, Welcome.

Welcome to the BP community. I am a licensed real estate agent in Atlanta and like you, also live in Kennesaw. As Ali stated, it is a bit more difficult to find deals, especially with the inventory being this low. It is definitely not a buyer's market but at the same time, many homeowners still don't have enough equity in their homes to sell. For an investor, you can still find deals, it may just mean being more creative and having a strong team. Let me know if I can help.

@Thomas Williamson Thanks for the offer.
@Stan. I was at the meeting on January 2nd. It was a good turn out. Were you there?

@Rick, thanks for the offer.
@AJ, I will be attending more REIAs meetings this year, so I hope you see you at a couple.
@Curt. I would love to hear your ideas on what an investor oriented buyers agent could do. I will send you a colleague request.
@Tim Fergus Thanks for the welcome. I will be checking out the local REIAs. In fact, I have already been to North Metro in Acworth because it is closer to home and my office but of course, I am positive that both Atlanta and GA REIAs will have larger membership because they are in the city.

Mark, that is exactly how it is here. I have been seeing an increase in new construction but less resale. Hopefully, we will see an increase in overall inventory for 2014.

@Mark. Thanks. How is the real estate market in Greeley, Colorado? Hope you are not experiencing the same low inventory we are here in the Greater Atlanta area.
@Azeez. I will definitely like to network. I am actually on the northside of town, so I have started attending the North Metro REIA in Acworth but I would also like to check out the the GA and Atl REIAs as well.
