Hey everyone, I am new to BiggerPockets and Investing. Looking to get started on my first deal. Really been digging into the site, podcasts, and blogs. I have 20 years of experience in the construction arena. I currently own two businesses. A handyman company and a website development company. I’m trying to figure out exactly what area I’d lIke to go into. I’m leaning toward fix and flips because of my previous experience but not opposed to wholesaling some deals as well. Been driving around RVA some looking at and collect info on abandon homes. There are several in my neighborhood. Trying to build a solid team also so I can’t hit the ground running. I’m also interested In owner financing instead of renting. Haven’t seen a whole lot on BP yet on that. Looking forward to meeting and connecting! I have a beautiful wife of 10 years and 4 great kids and would like to be able to travel a little more with them and build up money for retirement.

I live just outside of Richmond near the airport and I am just now looking into getting into REI. Richmond is a great city with a lot of great restaurants and some great places to live right outside of the city. I work with a property manager that has over 100 houses so the rental market is definitely here. There is a lot of the city that is also being revitalized.
