As the U.S. Senate reconvenes today, Ohio Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown took to Twitter to announce a bill that would provide $100 billion in emergency rental assistance.

“The last thing we want during a public health crisis is people being forced out of their homes and onto the street,” Senator Brown said in a tweet.

Titled “Emergency Rental Assistance and Rental Market Stabilization Act,” the proposal pairs with a bill in the House of Representatives, which Representatives Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Denny Heck (D-WA) are sponsoring. The suggested legislation is also advocated for by the National Low Income Housing Coalition. 

So true! Cities are overrated. Let's think about these stats...

1. 1) The average population density of the U.S. is 87 people per square mile
2. 2) The average population density of metropolitan areas is 283 people per square mile
3. 3) New York City population density is 27,012 people per square mile

You nailed it @Todd Dexheimer - SFRs and garden-style apartments/condos will benefit from the move away from elevator necessary buildings. 

Yes, I think this trend is a big deal and will benefit JH and BP style investors. Check out this chart from my Pandemic Investing(TM) presentation the showing the mid-rise and high-rise building boom. There will be much lower demand for this living arrangement in the future and that's good news for us Thanks for bring it up @Evan Bradley.
