Hello all,
I just wanted to share with you some of the things I've been using to learn about the note industry. Some of these resources might be considered basic to the more sophisticated people in the forum but for those who are starting off like myself you might find some value in it.

@Rod Govea, @Patrick Desjardins, @Chris Seveney, @Robert Beryl, @Natasha Hunter, @Marco Bario,
Thanks everyone for the great advise. I'm still going through some of the learning material and trying to figure out where I would fit into all of this. Its a little challenging without having a frame of reference but im working on understanding the core areas. Being new to real estate, When you guys started out and were trying to figure out if note investing was something that would be right for you did you have a plan to test the waters or did you just jump in with both feet?
@Chris Seveney, Saw your interview on the note closer's with Patty Ped. Good stuff. The notes I took from it will help me with my plan.

How does one identify trends and opportunities in the note industry? I've been reading articles and searching Google but nothing of significance comes up. How does one go about finding data? Is there a national financial database? government website? analyzing wall street funds? . . . rubbing a crystal ball? What do professionals like yourselves look at in the morning to plan your strategies?

I wanted to thank everyone for the help. I've decided to start with mail chimp and work my way into something more sophisticated. I'm still studying and taking notes to develop a business plan.

@Bob Malecki, @Chris Seveney, @Patrick Jackson, @Dan Deppen Thank you for your recommendations. I'm completely new to real estate so im taking things one step at a time. I've been reading the vendor websites and plan to make my decision today.
@Patrick Jackson - Good to met someone here that use to live in Waldorf. I'm originally from Brooklyn, New York myself. Lol
@Dan Deppen - I've been spending time reading the posts on your website and taking notes. Thanks for the info.
Does anyone else here share their experiences online in the form of a blog or video? If so please send me the link. I'm particularly interested in things related to lessons learned in the business and case study.

While watching @Scott Carson YouTube videos he recommends getting something that can manage your contacts as you network. After doing some searching online Mail Chimp caught my attention. Is there something other than Mail Chimp that has tools/features that can help better leverage the connections between customers, lenders and servicer's?

@Tim Simmons Thanks for the book recommendation. You are right, books are a good introduction but nothing beats talking to people and learning from the ground up.
