I wouldn't try to skirt the law. The OA will detail exactly how the transfer of equity/shares will be distributed if ever there was a reason for someone wanting out. @Brian Burke was really detailed and explained it thoroughly. @Jillian Sidoti writes these offerings for a living.

Love that your exploring this at such a young age.

If and when you are ready to invest in a syndication, you would have properly vetted out the sponsor. You also would have the flexible capital to dive in and most likely with the minimum investment. Going through the decision making would come with the understanding that there is risk of losing it all. Like everything in live with risk comes reward and with rewards comes risks.

Welcome to the community @Jason Richards ask tons of questions and learn quick.

Also if you want to learn more about passive investing on a more hands off approach, you could consider investing in a syndication.

Please feel free to reach out any time if you have any questions. I'd be happy to provide some insight. God bless!

Hello @Sheldon Whalen! I can't tell you much about Grant's funds but from what I gather, other syndicators beat his returns. You're on the right platform so it won't be too hard for you to find a sponsor that lines up with your investment criteria. Good luck and feel free to reach out any time.

Thank you for your service @Jacob Morris!

Since you are already invested as a LP have you tried reaching out to the sponsor and asking questions?

If your considering another investment, you should line it up with when you will be more local if you are going to invest in the opportunity. That way when you are back and you have your capital back, you can start to work on the opportunities you seek.

Welcome back @Clinton Grady and I love your goals. As stated before, aim for a 2 year stay to avoid capital gains upon your exit, unless you plan on keeping and renting it out after your short stay.

Please feel free to PM me your email and I'll connect you with my finance guy.

@Brian Burke and @Ian Ippolito state it very clear as well as many others in this post.

As a sponsor, we do underwrite conservative and to actuals not on much of a pro forma from the brokerage. Yes, we lose out on many deals as we don't try to force a deal to fit the underwriting. This rules us out on many deals and we source a ton of leads before landing on a few that we can move forward with. I'm sure many operators are working with these same intentions. Under promise and over deliver. Your investors are your customers and you want them to invest in future deals. Do right by them, do as you say, and they will be in on future opportunities.

Hope this puts some perspective on how many sponsors are working for the benefit of the investors.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first post of many.

If you narrow down your focus you may find the answer to your question. Do you want to go residential or commercial? That is one of the most basic questions you can ask yourself if you are considering the aspect of scaling in the near future. Just have to be more clear with your criteria at the end of the day.
