Am looking at buying a property at sheriff sale and was wondering if someone could let me know how the redemption period works after the sale? From what I have read it says it could be anywhere from 2 - 90 days. What are the determining factors in this? Thanks in advance for any input.

Jill, the other place down in akron we discussed moving the meeting to is called el Fogon it is at 1080 interstate pkwy, Akron 44312. Maybe you could check it out before the next meeting. I think it is a much nicer place, better food, and it is probably about the same price if not cheaper. Just want to make sure it is not to far of a drive for the other people coming to the meeting.

I think if I remember correctly it was going to cost about an extra 800 to 1000 for the 1031 exchange. And you have 45 days from when you close on the property you are selling to declare a new property. Then 180 days to close on the new property. The 180 days starts from when you sell the first property. I'm no expert just what I remember from one I was going to do last year. Good luck!
