The writing for their ibuying program has been on the wall for a while now. The main takeaway: 

Stick to your core Business. Their core business wasn't real estate buying/selling it was REAL ESTATE DATA. 

Hello Jule, Welcome to the area. Mike covered it pretty well, the only other thing i might suggest is calling around and finding a good home inspector that will do a walk through with you to point out any items that might be crucial to a rehab for you.

@Bonnie Rhodes The downtown is starting to get quite cleaned up & the downtown airport is now the main commercial airport for commercial travel which should help the main part of town. 

She's pretty busy these days but i'd call & check with Kerry Anne Schultz with Schultz Law Group. 

Hurricane Ivan was especially rough for the area. Those hurricanes helped shape Gulf Shores into what it is today with MANY more condos than were around 15 years ago. 

@Matthew Savoie awesome and congratulations on making the plunge. We have a few good groups in the area & lots of great investors to network with. Are you looking for projects to turn into rentals or more turn key properties?
