Post: Live and Flip

I am currently doing a live and flip in our house. The house is a ranch but the stairwell is right off the kitchen in the middle of the house. We would like to remove some walls and put posts/pillars on the corners of the stairwell to open up the floor plan. The cost will be about $50k including the kitchen remodel. Does removing the walls around the stairs add that much value?

Thank you everyone for the comments! I was able to evict the tenant due to fraud and fortunately they left willingly with minimal damage to the unit. The unit is back to rent ready and it is listed for showings.

I am new to being a landlord. For reference, I own two single family homes and a duplex that I rent. Recently, I found out one of my tenants applied using a fake identity. This person is also violating the lease by having an extra person and a dog live with them. Is there an easy way to terminate the lease and evict them?
