Morning BP!

I have a general question for those of you that have rentals in the Chicago area. How would you suggest going about selecting a good area? Do you aways look at school ratings or crime rate? Any websites you can suggest to narrow down searches?

With such a good mix of experience levels on BP I'm curious to know what route did you all take to get to your first deal. Buy and hold? Wholesale? Rehab? And why?

I'm currently in Lake Jackson. Welcome to BP! I'm new a well so lets learn together!

Hi!! My name is Jessica, and I recently relocated to Lake Jackson, TX from Arkansas. I've always had a lingering interest in real estate, and I'm finally taking steps to further pursue that interest. I'm currently taking RE courses, and I've sat in on a couple wholesale/flip trainings. I'm extremely interested in learning this process and gaining knowledge.

My goals are to meet/work with as many people as I can in this industry! I learn better by being hands on. I'm currently work full time in the healthcare industry , and have a desire change that within the next couple years.

BP has been an eye opener in just a short amount of time. Thanks for having me and lets learn!!
